That's OK, I just realized that we don't have nearly enough wrapping paper for the mountain of gifts we need to wrap tonight. I thought my wife had that all taken care of, but the amount she bought, I fear, is insufficient.

Consternation here, too.

These are minor problems in life. Easily fixable. Just requires some dashing around for the batteries and some hiding away for the candy.

My daughter announced on Christmas Eve (fairly late) - completely out of the blue - that she hoped Santa would put a really big lollypop in her stocking.

Me: *sigh of relief that I'd happened to pick one up that morning*
