Kirra,

The Ayr system (linked above) is just a small plastic bottle that you squeeze (gently!) to push the solution into your nostril. It's much easier to do than trying to bend over a sink while pouring water out of a 'pot' into your sinuses.

Yeah, NeilMed has something like that, too. I've been thinking seriously about trying it because that whole "tilting my head" thing often puts a crick in my neck.

The sensation you experience is the exact same one you get doing flips in a swimming pool. Neti-Pot is your friend.
