What's the worst curse word?

"Flat."

Seriously, it's like the worst curse word ever. No one ever gets offended at its use, and it never makes anyone feel better for saying it in the heat of anger.

I want you to go up to some 13 year old girl who has not developed, point at her chest, and say "Flat". We'll see who doesn't get offended.

A meaningful "Damn". Asking the Almighty to condemn someone to eternal torment seem worse to me than a race/gender/sexual orientation/religious preference/whatever slur. Even if you don't believe in any Almighty, the fact that someone who does would want you to forever burn should at least give you pause. Of course, the vast majority of the word's use is more casual than meaningful, so the word itself isn't any more of a gold standard of awfulness than the other two popular choices.

Still doesn't explain the lack of offense given by "Pussy."

When you call someone a pussy in reference to them being a wimp I think it is more in reference to a cat than female anatomy.

Have you seen the ball of whirling, clawed death that is a frightened or threatened cat?

Don't fault me for your perceived short-comings of the English language

Huh? I'm calling into question the veracity of a comparison between "wimpiness" (to use your approximation of the connotation implied by the pejorative use of "pussy") to a cat.

When you provoke a cat, it does anything but wimp out.

Question: Who is worse when provoked (assuming worst case scenario), a woman or a cat?

Every cat I've seen challenged has run away given the first opportunity.

Worst case? About equal, I'd say.

Hmm, I guess maybe I'm thinking more of a cornered cat, or one being restrained from running away and their efforts to break the restraint. That's a good point, I suppose.

Yeah, a cat being held that doesn't want to be held is a different story all together.

So is there a curse word or, for that matter, any word that that offends men?

If you wanna get under a guy's skin try telling him that he's stupid like his father/brother/role model. Insulting someone I care about generally bothers me more than personal attacks.

Never watch a cat play with its prey?

Will Smith's Grandma has given him some great wisdom.

One of her points was you don't have to use foul language to make your point.

I don't worry about which word is the worst, it is going to be different for different people. I try not to use the bad ones.

Few words offend me to the core and make me want to punch someone's lights out, than when someone utters "suhleen'deeyon." That's the worst curse word that could possibly be uttered by mortal lips.
