9/8 - Leave Sacramento red-eye to DC. Hope I can sleep.
9/9 and 9/10 - See the Smithsonian and Monuments. Who's in the DC area, anyone? Want to do dinner? heck, want to see the Smithsonian (Air and Space is the priority.)
9/11 - Take one of the the many morning trains to Philly, JetBlue doesn't do Philly, but does do Pittsburg, sigh. Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, cheesesteak, whatever other interesting and reasonably priced landmarks Philly has to offer. Company would be nice. Hopefully, after all the board downtime Foamy remembers he offered to make me dinner. Hug Oonagh, coo at the baby.
Spend the night in Philly, still trying to get hold of my aunt, otherwise a Holiday Inn or equivalent.
9/12 - Train back to DC, fly to New York. Wondering if there are quicker affordable flights Philly to New York on another airline, going to check that. Eat, visit a few landmarks.
9/13 - see a Broadway Show, not sure which one yet. One that still has seats available anyway.
9/14 - Fly to Boston, see landmarks. See Sasandra if she's interested in meeting. Haven't talked to her about that yet. See anyone else who is around there and interested.
9/15 - Probably still in Boston for the a.m. Fly to Pittsburg, meet anyone around there who cares to for dinner, otherwise rent a car and drive, or take the train, to Columbus, OH. Anyone there want to meet me? I'm going to be meeting a non-Glade friend there and plan on staying for a couple days.
9/18 - Fly home haven't figured out that part of the trip yet.

For me this is a very ambitious schedule. Usually I like to go and spend a week somewhere, not rush around. I just don't know when I'll get to do this again so I'm trying to fit it all in at once.

So, if you want to meet me, and I'm hitting someplace near you, let me know. Those I haven't hit on this trip I'm thinking of taking another fairly long weekend in very early October. Unfortunately JetBlue doesn't hit anywhere close to Atlanta, and to get to Phoenix I seem to have to fly to New York first. If I want to leave Phoenix I have to fly back through New York.

Sounds like fun! Have a good time, and remember to drink lots of water.

Make time to do the bus trip to the Air and Space annex near Dulles. They have some displays there that can't be seen anywhere else in the world. The Space Shuttle Enterprise is my favorite there.

I'm in Columbus and barring a callout, am free in the evening all week. DFK! and Kaffis are close enough for a dinner, probably. I'll PM some details.

I'd love to Lex, but I've already made arrangements to dine with Sasandra, out someplace. Check with her, meet and dine with both of us.

Have you thought about taking the train? Uinan and I took the train to NYC in April and went right through Philly. It's super cheap and it doesn't take long. I think it took a little less than two hours??

Yeah, Amtrak from Philly to NYC's Penn Station is a 97 minute ride, for $45.

The trains are pretty nice, decent leg room, especially if you're in the first seats of the last car. LOL

For Divinity & I, to go from Harrisburg to NYC, it took a little over 2 hours, but there was a lot of stops from Harrisburg to Philly.

For something perhaps off beat to do in Philly, a tour through the Masonic temple was absolutely amazing. They consider it one of the three most beautiful mason temples in the entire world. I believe it only cost a couple bucks. Takes about an hour, little more, depending how many questions there are.

I'll be training from Philly to NY and then from NY to Boston most likely.

The Masonic Temple sounds great, may check that out.

We should intersect at some point. Ill be on tour for 8 weeks come the 25th (yay, first national tour) playing Shere Khan in a stage adaptation of The Jungle Book. Houston, Maryland, Kansas, Wisconsin, New York, New Jersey, Florida, California, and Georgia, IIRC.

I'm in Maryland (help me someone). Close to Baltimore, close to Philadelphia, a bit farther from NYC and DC.

If you want to hit Phoenix, you want to look at Southwest for that leg of the trip. I think it would be great to meet you, and maybe couple of the others that are around here, Though early October and beyond is generally, not good for me, as that's when Hunting activities get serious.

Like shooting Javalinas that are wandering around in the streets?
