Impractical? You may change your tune when gas prices peak this summer. I'd be seriously considering a bike as my primary mode of transport if I had the cash to get one now.

I'm considering going back to the bus. It is already cheaper than the cost of parking alone and the walk each way is 2-3 blocks, hardly horrible. It just is not as pleasant as driving.

I have a '87 blue VFR700F2 I bought new, haven't ridden in years 'cause I didn't want my kids to get the idea riding was a good thing. My wife wants me to sell it, but I have a hard time parting with it.
