Oh crap. Now I will be singing that all day...it took me years to get that song out of my head. Thanks a lot, Elmo.

You know, they're actually not bad...they just got stuck with the ignominy of having one of the worst debut songs in the history of ever.

Btw, it's sobering to think that all three of the Hanson kids now have at least two kids of their own ("MMMBop" hit my freshman year in high school). *shudder*

(Weird Al did a Hanson style parody on his latest album, and the middle guy, the keyboardist, actually played, which is what spurred me to look them up a couple of weeks ago. Serendipity's strange.)

First thing that popped into my head as wel. Which is wierd because I just read a write up about them and the time they performed on SNL.

This is the first thing I thought of too:

Crash Test Dummies > Hanson

Lunch at Applebees about a week or so ago and MmBop came on over their piped in satellite music channel. That and I think we were Rickrolled too during that same lunch.

You do realize, Foamy, that you and Oonagh and Hannibal have all fallen from favor for failing to beat the stupid amount of Elmo, right?

Elmo is WELL armed. Oonagh and myself, not so much.

Hannibal has the firepower, but has retreated to tax-free Delaware.

You should still beat the stupid out of Elmo.

I really don't think that is possible Khross, you're asking for something that can't be done.

So you are saying he has more stupid in him than life? Death will come first?

What do you expect from a muppet? Can't do a thing without a hand up its ***.

I remember listening to the radio in high school, and after that song played, the DJ stated proudly that Hanson's album will go down in history as more influential and successful then "Dark Side of the Moon" by PF. Two decades latter it still might be the dumbest statement I have heard.
