Anyone have any horror stories to share yet?

Not really a horror story, but definately one that reminded me why I'm glad I'm not superstitious.

A few years back, I hopped a puddle jumper from Miami to Tampa on Friday the 13th. The entire trip, we were chased by a HUGE thunderstorm. Out the window you could see these enormous black clouds and there was consistent cloud to cloud lightning. It was probably my imagination, but it seemed like it was slowly getting closer the whole trip too.

In the end, we landed safely, met my buddy who was picking me up, and literally the second we closed the doors after getting into his car, the rain came dumping down. One of the more bizarre weather experiences I've had.

We had massive flooding last night and early this morning. I managed to come through it without much damage, but many of my neighbors were not so lucky.

Our implementation team decided to roll out a new version of some software last night without enough testing. Current failure rate is sitting above 25%.

I'm coughing up stuff that looks pretty horrible.

I somehow managed to put over 13 hours in an 11 hour day.

O' course, it's because I have to track all my time in our ticketing system, and I was working tickets as well as a project, but still...

I got locked out of my apartment at about 9am. Chasing one of my darn kitties. One of my neighbors who was still home told me to "F-disk off". Of course I had locked my phone inside! To offset the icky Asian neighbor, a kind woman in a house nearby let me and kitty in, gave me coffee (which I h8, but I wasn't going to turn down the gesture) and let me use her phone 'til I could reach someone w/ a spare key. About noon, self and kitty were returned to our home. The kind woman said she believes in "paying it forward". I agree. And, well, my pajama-clad and cat-fur covered self were either totally non-threatening or a real good cover for a home invasion... I mean, I guess I could have thrown the cat at her!
