We also have had black widows, and after Katrina had a small problem with brown widows. Nasty buggers.... I have seen wolf spiders, funnel spiders, garden spiders.......bugs bugs bugs.

I did get bit on the *** by what I assume was a brown recluse. I never saw it, but they do exist here in Colorado, and I ended up with body aches and a weeping sore the size of my palm within a few days after feeling a 'splinter' cleaning the basement in a skirt. I still have a divot scar. Could have been a different spider, I suppose.
