What is this? I don't even ...

I came across this film a little while ago. I really don't what to say other than:

I can't help finding it bizarrely compelling for some reason. It isn't "scary", but there's nightmare fuel aplenty.

I remember that, vaguely. Surreal, and popular among the folks who went to see movies stoned. I was drunk when I saw it way back when. Which is why I only vaguely remember it.

I saw that when I was in college, probably the same decade it came out. It was definitely an "experience" movie, yeah.
