Craziest thing? I am super good friends with a guy who was on the jury during that trial!

Second craziest thing? He is friends with another juror who told the media they could do an interview with him but only on the condition they only release his juror number and not his name (because he lives around the same area the gang is from). What did the media do? Release his full name, of course.

I am hoping he sues them so hard that they beg him to stop, but that's when the real suing will begin.

They declared a mistrial, so I don't think the gangs are going to care about that juror.

There has been some talk of retaliation on everyone involved, but I think it's just bluster. My friend is still unnerved though, and I don't blame him.

I'll be talking to him tonight during our tabletop gaming session. I'm quite curious about the whole thing. I'm not sure how I'd handle hearing a firearm discharged indoors as well as watch a person get shot (he was apparently still alive and died later at the hospital). But I do know I'd have no problems doing the same thing if I had to defend my family.

Isn't the mistrial rather irrelevant if the defendant is dead?
