Probably the world's most famous savant, the inspiration for Rain Man, died a couple of days ago due to heart attack at 58.

Sad news. He lived in a nearby city. He'd usually go around to different schools talking about himself and different experiences after Rain Man came out. I guess that movie really helped him break out of his shell.
