So, I'm lying flat on my back and n the hospital with foot problems (I still have my feet, don't worry. I only have my phone and service is slow.

I saw a video of a series of explosions in Tianjin, China. The network news here isn't saying much.

So what happened? Please satisfy my curiosity until I can get to a fast connection and a bigger screen!

Thanks.

On the 13th, a warehouse with chemicals inside it caught fire and then exploded. What chemicals are involved is unknown, but cyanide was mentioned. The force of the first explosion was about 3 tons of TNT, and the second stronger one was about 21 tons. A second round of explosions happened today, the 15th.

At least 104 people died including 21 firefighters, and at least 700 were injured, 50 of those in serious condition.

The management of the company has been detained.

And get better man! You are supposed to be out enjoying your retirement.

Thank you Squirrel Girl, and I'm trying. This time is a debridement, which for those who are not familiar with the term is a cleaning out of the ball of my foot of pus and other junk from an infection. No bone involvement because I got in early enough. Now three weeks off my feet and I should be better.
