Imo, I follow what Scripture points out, such as when Jesus met the woman at the well, and told her that she had had 5 husbands and the man she now had was not her husband. That seems to indicate there is something that is required to make a marriage other than just being in a relationship.

Separated is not the same as divorced. Marriage and divorce can be as difficult as a minefield to navigate successfully, if it is even possible to do.

The separation is a trial-divorce. The hope is that they determine they can't live apart. Dating someone in this situation is, in my opinion even worse than dating someone who's married and not separated. If they're not separated, they both involved in the side relationship are just tools and there's no hope for them. But a separated couple is in turmoil, the relationship is not over, and it's just Fed up in so many ways to get in the middle of that. And if there's kids involved, the people should just be shot.
