I'm sure I'm not the only one to wonder, how are you doing Kaffis?

Mostly well enough, with fits of lousy.

And, Ienan, I think a lot of people around here would be surprised at how little they *knew* about Amdee. That was kind of part of the point of this thread to let me share some of the multifaceted-ness and depth with you guys, her friends (some of her best), that her vague stoner one-liners didn't. :)

And, damn. I missed my chance for another top of the page pic. =P

R.I.P. Amdee. I certainly miss you.

I didn't know her well, but her whimsical threads always caught my attention and brightened my day.

We just catch little bits and pieces of everyone here Kaffis. Like most of us, I really enjoyed the little bits and pieces Amdee shared with us, but I knew there was a lot more she was hiding.

I'm happy you got to know Amdee well, and I'm happy she knew she was loved by a good man. While I grieve her loss and know a little of how it affects the soul to lose someone you love, I won't pretend I know just what you're going through, we're all different and we grieve in different ways.

Like always, we're here if you need us.

If we loved her for the little she showed us, you know we'd have loved her had we known her more.

If you need us to do anything, please speak up.

If anybody will be able to be in the Eastern Ohio area in late April, and would like information on the memorial, PM me for details.

That really scares me about heart attacks getting people so young.

This report rattles me, as did when Brittany Murphy died suddenly from one (although it later turned out that there were other factors involved, but still at the time . . . scary)

You generally associate heart attacks with seniors who smoked or drank all their lives, or were extremely overwieght. Not people who get snatched out of the prime of their lives.

Registered just to say that I'm sorry for your loss Kaffis, and for everyone else here and beyond who treasured her.

I have fond memories of her posts back on the old Glade and it saddens me that her unique style and wit will no longer grace us.

Farewell, Amdee

With apologies to Social Distortion for the elisions...

at last we meet again, dear God
The funeral's are nicer, when we know you're there
sometimes I try so hard to understand the things you do
who am I to question you when it all comes down
the sins of the world, and its cold on the streets when you're all alone
And the tears they start to fall when it all comes down

When the angel of death, comes a lookin for me
I hope I was everything I was supposed to be
There's gotta be a heaven, cause I've already done my time in hell

Hey Kaffis, been thinking about the two of you lately. I hope that your good days outnumber the bad ones. Thanks for popping in.

*hugsKaffis*

Those are some thought provoking lyrics. Sounds like something she would have written.

Kaffis, I hope you are doing ok, your presence here is missed.

If you stop by again, tell us how Amdee's memorial service went, I'm sure it was very emotional.

So I learned today, after visiting on a whim, that two of my best friends here on the Glade had passed away.

Amdee was one of my favorite people here and I loved her wicked sense of humor. I will miss her.

Two? Who was the other?

I'm not *that* oblivious am I?

Thanks, Vindi. Made me smile. She had several pairs in different colors. Black and the undyed canvas ones were her favorites, though.

Had one of those moments today where I missed seeing her lists...

Glad you got a smile - I did too.

I am so sorry.

It has been ten months since my last visit here and I am shocked and saddened to hear about Amdee.

I often visited the Glade just to see if Amdee had posted anything. I'll remember her cool personality and posting style.

My condolences and best regards to those with whom she was close.

Dunno if you've seen these but these are on sale now at Converse.com. I thought of Amdee immediately, of course.

Wow, due to changes in employment, I haven't had the time to keep up with the glade in quite a while, now I'm catching up and find this. I mourn the loss, I hope you are doing ok Kaffis.
