It worked, but the defenders didn't seem to fall for it.

They didn't fall for it because it's an indirect free kick, meaning you can't shoot it directly on goal. The fourth guy in the line steps on the ball allowing the last guy to kick it in.

Defender doesn't move until he saw the guy tap the ball with his foot, knew the real kick was coming then.

OK, I have to know - what's an "indirect free kick?" It looked just like any other free kick I've seen. Or, are they all indirect, and I've just never known that?

Sounds to me like it means the ball must be passed at least once before the shot is taken.

Depends on the penalty, some are direct, some are indirect.

Cute and all, but Rescue isn't weaponized.

Arent they repulsor beams? Used for both thrust and attack/defense?

I'm assuming Khross has more issue with the bulletholes. The palm repulsors are fine.

That quibble aside, the cosplay itself is breathtakingly awesome. Even if they probably shouldn't be there, the weathering and damage is gorgeous work, and the armor fitting is pretty darn good. If I were to offer a few criticisms for improvement, it would be to try to stitch piping onto the undersuit to give it the sense of plating that it's missing (since the Iron Man armors conveniently ignore how hard it is to plate joints in something as close-fitted as Iron Man suits) and to look at closing the lower leg pieces so they fit the calves more tightly; they look a little loose in comparison to the rest of the costume, and I don't think it's a matter of range-of-motion.

My quibble is primarily over the weathering, because a major reason for Rescue's lack of weaponization is how Tony implemented the custom Repulsor tech for Rescue. It be somewhere around 1.4 million AD before Rescue actually worried about small arms fire. The primary reason is Pepper's dislike of violence.

Kaffis is correct.

Hmm. Think I could pay my legal fees for possession and detonation of shaped charges with 3 million dollars?

I have an SUV. I could buy a new one with $3M.

Problem solved.

The glass may be impervious, but that place would be trashed with people trying to break it.

Terrible idea.

"Remember this? 9 years ago, 3M came up with a creative ad campaign that involved the modification of a Vancouver bus shelter ad. They installed "unbreakable" security glass onto the poster space then filled it with play money and $500 of real money to lure Vancouverites to attempt to break the glass.

Many tried to break the glass, but none succeeded. The campaign went viral then and it has resurged over the last few days and is trending once again."

I was thinking heat or cold and letting thermal expansion/contraction do the rest.
