Think it was the halftone effect. It was the closest thing I could think of to a particle type look.

Corgis have pointy ears that stick up in the air. Beau is a beagle:

Ugh now I want a dog again. Does he shed much? Can you leave him alone for hours while everyone goes to work/school?

Anyway, cool dog.

Short-haired breeds really don't shed a lot, and when they do it's not very noticeable. There is some accumulated dog hair in his favorite spots, but that's sort of something you expect. A dog has to hang out someplace. He's got a chair he likes to sit in and look out the window.

Beagles like to chew and dig, especially when they're puppies. His predecessor ate a couch, and dug up a hole in his yard that we could've used to hide a dead body. They need chew toys, and you have to figure out what toys they like to play with or else your furniture is in danger until they're about two or three years old. After that they tend to mellow out. Beau never destroyed anything, so they are manageable. He's calmed down a lot recently, and if left alone during the day, he spends most of his time looking out the front window watching for cars that he recognizes.

That's the second picture of the Salt Lick that I've seen in the past few weeks. Must be a good place for conventions.

Heh, sorry for the temptation.

Thanks for the welcome, DiamondEye. Not sure what area you're from, but if you're around Austin (and especially attending the TCEA tradeshow for some reason), let me know. I am always down for checking out more great eateries. Or at the very least saying hello!

Unfortunately I'm all the way down at the southern tip. I do have vacation coming up but not until the 17th and I have no days off before then.

Salt Lick is the place to go, was that the one by the Dell Diamond? If you get the chance, go eat at Z'Tejas off 6th Street in Austin.

If you were in Houston, you could go to Goode Company BBQ off Kirby and get a picture at the Armadillo Palace (pic below).
