That's hardly limited to minimum wage people. Any kind of job where you are interchangeable with someone else has this demographic. In this world there are two types of people: There are people who come in and people who call off. The managers know who is whom, and readily exploit the agreeable nature of those of us who come in.

And there are plenty of good bosses in those positions as well.
