YES! (except for 3, 4, 10, 14, 15 - just use it right handed). |

I'm right handed, but for years used a mouse left handed (including swapping the buttons around so index finger was dominant clicker) at work. I did this when my QA job clicking requirements were interfering with my gaming hobby due to rsi. I figured balancing the load would help, and it did. I can appreciate some of the annoyances lefties face. However, I'm left eye dominant. Do I still get a prize for that? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

1. Spiral notebooks - haven't used one in forever, so I don't remember how much trouble they caused me. I'm guessing not much, since I don't remember having problems with them. 2. 3 ring binders - people write in these? Looks like it'd be a pain to do so, however. 3. lefty baseball glove - I can't remember if I used a lefty glove in gym class or not; I sucked at gym and never bothered to try to catch anything anyways, so it's a moot point. 4. lefty scissors - always used righty scissors 5. ballpoint pen - maybe it's my writing style, but I seem to do equal amounts of pushing and pulling with my pen (I just tested it). I've seen some other southpaws at my job, and some of them write quite strangely, so I may be an outlier. 6. ink on hand - happens sometimes, and it sucks. I tend to accidentally write on myself anyways, so it's not as noticeable though. 7. dinner table position - I always try to sit as to minimize this situation. Otherwise, it's uncomfortable. 8. iPad Kindle App - I don't use this particular app, but when I read an ebook I swipe across the screen with my right hand anyways 9. driver cup holder - driving is a two-handed activity, so I don't care if which hand holds the cup 10. numberpad on keyboard - typing is a two handed activity. 11. dying sooner - no comment 12. 'these desks' - **** these desks 13. measuring cups - I tend to look at the cup from inside, or I hold the cup righty style 14. can opener - never had trouble with it/it's a two handed activity 15. game controller - never had trouble with it/it's a two handed activity 16. cord on credit machine - never had trouble with it 17. pencil smears - see #6 18. wtf is that thing - wtf is that thing? |

Most of the modern things (keypads, kindle apps, dual shocks) don't seem to bug me as much. Heck I even put my mouse on the right side because I just learned that way. However i still contend that I could have been fully ambidextrous if I hadn't been told I had to pick a hand and stick with it in school. |

The only thing in that list that ever bothered me was those @#$@ desks. The one or two "lefty" versions were always on the extreme left of the room, and the board or screen was tough to see because of the angle. The dying sooner this is an urban legend, based on a terribly flawed study in about 1990. Further research showed no difference in longevity based on handedness in the modern world. |

Ash from Evil Dead/Army of Darkness was a southpaw. So there's more cred to the fighting the zombies thing, not becoming. |

I slowly became basically ambidex. The desks sucked, because I had to sit awkwardly. The ink/pencil residue added to that, led to me (and others that I noticed) writing weirdly, where the arm is in the shape of a "C", and you write sorta upside down. I no longer write that way, but I think it's also the reason my penmanship stinks. My penmanship was very good in school, when I wrote upside down. Using just my hands, I am pretty good at both sides. The only part that becomes a problem, is when I am using larger muscle groups (i.e. swinging a club, throwing a ball) One thing that was always sucky, was when buying sporting goods. I had to seek high and low and pay top dollar for my golf clubs, baseball glove(s), guns. |

How the **** is a game controller considered right handed? Anyway, I drive(primarily) and fish with my left hand, but I am mostly right handed, though I can write or shoot with either hand(still prefer right, however). I drink left handed and I eat things that don't require silverware left handed as well. I'm kind of all over the place. |

Having done fairly extensive research, I can assure you that "these desks" in university lecture halls aren't any better for right-handed students. Furthermore, individual lecture halls and classrooms have more left-handed desks than entire departments have left-handed students. Then, when the rare left-handed student does emerge, they always insist on sitting in the right-handed desks. |

Anyone that has played a fighting game like SFII or IV will recognize that, clearly, the motion controls are the most difficult. If controllers have a bias, it's toward left-handed people. |

I call bullshit on #1 And if you're trying to write on both sides of every page, it doesn't matter whether you're a righty or a lefty, you're going to run into the same problem. |

Fair enough. I use all right-handed only tools right-handed, so I probably just learned over time. As a result, my right arm is much stronger than my left, although intricate work is done with the left. |

You can tell whether lined paper has been written on upside down. And I use normal notebooks because that's what's available, I haven't bought a lefty since college. And, I'll just ask: are you left-handed? If so: to each their own. If not, you have no frame of reference for the uncomfortability level of "normal" books. No large antipathy here (since tone does not come across well via text), just statin' my opinion. |

There's a top margin that suddenly shows up at the bottom if you flip a notebook upside down. However, writing on the back of the page gives right-handed writers the same problem left-handed writers experience on the front so that comes out as a wash. Wireless notebooks are crap, regardless of handedness. As for the e-reader "problem" I always swipe to turn pages, anyway. |
