http://www.batterblaster.com/tfchallenge/index.php I wonder if you can eat this stuff like whipped cream straight from the can. |

I really don't understand this. Pancake batter is preposterously easy to make. And though I don't keep buttermilk on hand to do it from scratch, the powdered mixes are still quite convenient and delicious. |

Both of those (whipped cream and pancakes) require dirtying bowls, spoons, mixers, etc... which all require cleanup. The canned stuff (obviously marketed towards the microwave mac and cheese crowd) saves a lot of hassle for those with instant gratification with little investment in mind. *heads off to add batter blaster to his shopping list, right under microwave mac and cheese and corn dogs |

Just a heads up - it ain't all that great. Maybe I'm just a pancake snob - I make a pretty mean pancake, honestly - but I have found it really hard to make these come out well. It's not the taste so much, as the texture. I picked them up so I could offer the kids pancakes for breakfast on school mornings when pressed for time. I have found frozen waffles to be a much better alternative. |

IHOP was nice. Had their holiday Pecan Pancakes with my lunch. If I'm going to the bother of making pancakes, I can clean up the mixing bowl, griddle and spatula. |
