Post subject:  Randy Johnson - Former Baseball Player turned Photographer

Randy Johnson, former MLB pitcher for the Mariners and Diamondbacks (mainly) took up photography after he retired from Baseball.

Initially his niche was concert photography (presumably to get backstage passes). He did some really good work there.

Recently, he took a trip to Africa and brought back some incredible pictures.

I won't try to link them directly, so I'll just direct you to his site.

Take a look when you have some time.

Wow, yeah, just the first 14 he has up as a gallery are pretty fantastic shots. Thanks for the heads up.

You are all missing the point. That might be the best logo ever.

If you have never seen what he did to a bird, look it up. It should be out there.

Wow, this is one the very rare times that someone says something about baseball and I know what they are talking about! I was a hardcore baseball card collector in 1990 (kind of a crappy year to do that), so the second I read "Randy Johnson" my brain conjured up an image of him pitching a ball sporting a mullet.

That was a nice collection he has. He's quite talented, and it's nice to see a former athlete go on to do something like that instead of the cliched job of sports commentator.

He's got a great eye for composition. Needs to back off on the post sharpening just a hair though. That Robert Patrick one is outta control.
