Thanks everyone!

Crazy how your life can change in an instantaneous moment. We came in on Monday for a 1 hour procedure (baby kept staying breech so we were going to have the doctor turn her). The doctors were thinking based on the ultrasound that she wasn't as old as we thought we were. So we had the 20 week ultrasound faxed, and she was indeed 37 weeks old but measuring very small (2nd percentile).

Turns out the placenta wasn't getting her enough nutrients and she was smaller because of it. They said the longer she stayed in the womb, the weaker she could get. While I have been preparing to have a child, in that moment life got very real for me very fast.

I woke up that morning as just a married guy. That night I became a dad. I don't think I would ever want to go back.

You can never go back to a "normal" life after you hold that little babe in your arms. Babies change your life for the better, even with all the sleepless nights, diaper changes, bottle/breast feeding, etc! Sleep when she sleeps, and try to get out with your wife once in a while to give you both a much needed break.

They grow up so fast so try not to miss anything if possible!
