The Gold Coast is off the strip, across the street from the Palms. Its an older, smaller, serviceable hotel. Inexpensive and whatnot. There's not a lot to do at the Gold Coast itself if you're not into gambling. There is a bowling alley there, so there's that. Across the Street, the Palms has a movie theater, clubs, restaurants, etc.
There should be shuttles that go down to the strip for sightseeing and such as the GC and Palms aren't *really* in walking distance... in June. You would melt just over the I-15, and cause Metro to shut down traffic for 11 hours while they mopped you up with a q-tip... or whatever they can find that can inconveniently shut traffic down for 11 hours.
But we should at least have Sat free, for the most part.
