Although it was noted, and so it indeed proved, that there was a spoon in every kit. This is my spoon. There are many like it, but this one is mine. |

There's a joke known as the "combat assault spoon" where you take an MRE spoon and shove it down through the PALS straps on your gear, generally somewhere on the chest. If the spoon is facing towards you, you're full. If it's facing away, you're hungry. |
