I found this interesting and thought I'd share. The WW1 museum in KC is fantastic and this site is an outgrowth of that.

A statewide, collaborative digitization project investigating the state’s involvement in World War I.

Since 2012, Museum of Osteopathic Medicine and International Center for Osteopathic History has collaborated with organizations across Missouri on a statewide digitization project, Over There: Missouri & the Great War, with a mission, to create an online collection of Missouri World War I documents and artifacts. More than 14,000 pages of letters, diaries, photographs, military records, and other original materials have been placed online for free public access. Missourioverthere.org also features hundreds of artifacts from the war and civilian support organizations.

That's pretty cool.

I've been following It's a Long Way to Tipperary, a weekly look at an "Irish" family's involvement in the war.

Honestly, it's kind of odd to think that WWI is now a century ago. When I was growing up, it was only 50, 60 years earlier. For some reason, there's a huge perceptual difference between 60 years and a century.
