Horrific politics aside, Western Washington is about the most pleasant place on the planet this time of year.

It's been mid to high 70s and sunny every afternoon for the last week or so, with lows in the 50's at night. A trend that is supposed to continue deep into next week.

Then, there are the views. I've been spending a lot of time on the bike this summer (6k miles so far - headed towards 10k for the year). It's a great way to take in the amazing views.

Today, this is what Mount Rainier looked like from Bainbridge Island, just a short ferry ride across the Puget Sound from Seattle.

Yea... no...

Well, you are welcome to come here, but not to live with me. You would hate that, I'm quite sure.

In the mean time, enjoy some fireworks over Lake Union

My wife often asks me if the company is hiring down in SoCal so we could move. Funny how the company is never hiring any place but western WA.

Oh I don't know Midgen, I can get along with just about anyone. It was one of the things I had to learn to do in the Army.

The waterfront looks nice...they do something like that in Detroit on the river. They send out three barges, time the whole thing to music. It is always a good show.

I took some nice pictures while out on an 80 mile adventure (bike) ride yesterday.

These were taken from the Tokul Trestle on he Sammamish Valley Trail over looking the Snoqualmie Valley

This is a cool flyover video made by http://relive.cc from the GPS/Strava files. It includes a few more pictures.

Edit:
It was a really humid, muggy day, and some of the pictures were affected by condensation on the camera (phone) lens.

Nifty,

I've tried a few folders, but the are (generally), like most cycling related things, not desgined/engineered for "big" guys.

The few ive ridden feel like they are going to crumple underneath me.
