GameInformer had a nice little segment about him on their podcast this week. His work has had an outsized impact on my gaming life.

He was 51, relatively young. All I found was he died at home, which leaves many avenues of departure open. His games brought us together, and for that I am grateful. RIP.

For anyone feeling a little nostalgic about Everquest, I stumbled on this article. It's not new, but it's new to me. It shed some light on how it came to be (but almost didn't), and has some fun anecdotes about the launch day issues.
