I honestly don't care what your definition of porn is and I'm not going to get into a glade debate over the defintion of it.

If it can get me fired from my job for looking at it, it doesn't need to be on this board (and thats just one of many reasons it doesn't need to be here).

And yet some of us browse from work and while u typically can avoid such threads (unless I use the go to most recent bottin out of habit) I would prefer it if someone auditing the site didn't have cause to classify/block the site as adult content.

I say again: I have properly labeled, titled, and spoilered the contents of this thread. The Glade rules do not bar me from posting this. You read the title that clearly states that it is not work safe.

If you are at work, you should be doing work anyway, not browsing The Glade, let alone clicking on threads whose contents are clearly labeled.

It's common curtosy though. Get overyourself. If you get off on showing others what you Jack off to that is fine but take it off the glade for the sake of your fellow posters.

No offense intended, though I do fall in with the "Really? Must we here?" crowd on this (not a matter of the content per se, but rather the fact that this board balances precariously on many web filters' lists to begin with, and getting holier-than-thou about "working when you're supposed to be working" is both myopic and rather insulting; who are you to imperil how someone spends, say, their 15 minute breaks?), how do you reconcile something like the original post with your complaints expressed here?

I would suggest at least taking all the picture links down and uploading them to the board itself via the attachment option. Also, change any red-flag filenames. That way at least the board isn't linking to something the web filters find offensive (I have no experience with web filters, since they've never been in place at any job I've ever had, but I can't imagine they'd know what to do with the relative-to-the-board paths, and that they look for offending URLs).

Riov, I never said that this was my "masturbatory material," I just know that many here do enjoy the naked female form (not to mention that this entire thread was meant largely in jest).

FarSky: Yes, the adult industry does send out misleading messages, but I'd say that a majority of the images above fall within the "average" range for women (B-D cup). Also, I am still hesitant to call these images "pornography" any more than I would call a risquee photo in a non-adult magazine, or nudity found in artwork/Euro TV commercials "pornography." What I was referring to in that past post was the guys with the huge, exaggerated schlongs and the women with the huge, exaggerated boobs brainwashing people into thinking that those dimensions are normal.

If the mods wish to close/remove this thread for fear or work-site censoring, then I cannot stop them from doing so. Although, if we truly are teetering on the brink of the Glade being filtered, perhaps that precedent should be clearly set and recorded in the Posting Guidelines thread?

EDIT: I just saw your latest post, FarSky. If the mods deem them okay to keep up that may be a good idea. I'm not sure on how one would do some of what you said, so perhaps someone with more net knowledge than I.

Honestly, if the rules are going to allow pornographic material to be posted, then the web content filters SHOULD categorize the site as adult/porn. It's one level of protection to keep me from getting fired for viewing pornographic materials at work, because i stumbled on a thread on the glade that had that content on it.

As long as this is happening here, I won't risk browsing here from work any more. My company has very strict rules about these things. I've had my job for a long time, and will not risk losing it over this site.

Midgen, as I said above: if the mods want to impose these restrictions that is fine and within their power. However, at the time that this was posted, there was nothing in place. So your flames toward me were misdirected.

This place has always been a haven from this sort of thing. The Internet is FULL of this kind of crap, and honestly we really don't need it here.

So, let me see if I understand. Properly warning everyone, and taking precautionary measures to keep the material from being displayed unless the viewer took deliberate steps to see it makes Rodahn the villain here?

He seems as though he's made an attempt to be a reasonable individual. Perhaps taking a similar approach, like Farsky, might be more appropriate than getting your panties in a twist and leaping down his throat because you've found some faux moral outrage in your desk drawer and want to show it to the rest of the board.
