It is totally Naboo out right now where I am.

When it says the temperature is 2C, and yet it's like Hoth, i think it's way off. Anything where it would rain rather than snow is not like Hoth.

My favorite part is the "There's also a significant change of unconvincing CGI aliens."

Same here. I wonder if LA is ever anything other than Naboo. Maybe Tatooine, at some point.

Yeah I think they need to change up Hoth and not have it as the only choice for below/near freezing. However likely suspects would probaby go over the heads of the casual.

I dunno about the parameters...a while back it told me it was like Hoth out here in Arizona at 5 degrees...but now, at 8 degrees, it's like Naboo.

It is very Hoth-like here as well.

I never understood the allure of using celcius over fahrenheit for temperature (non-scientific purposes).
~2.5 degrees F per single C just is too big a swing for me. Difference between shorts and pants.

It's 1.8 F per C, Hop. =P

Still seems inadequate, to me, though, yes. I don't want to deal with decimals for my weather, and with C, decimals feel more important in differentiating weather.

It's simple.

<1C: Bundle up, winter clothing.
1C-12C: Dress warmly, including jacket.
13C-19C: Long sleeved shirts, pants. Jacket optional.
20C-26C: Jeans & Short sleeved shirt should suffice.
>27C+ Dress as lightly as possible. Bring liquids if walking.

-22C and mostly cloudy = like Hoth today. (for Pickle Lake)

London, at 2C and rain also gives "like Hoth today" :? Wee bit of a difference there.

I forget where I saw this rhyme, it may have been on a previous iteration...
30's hot
20's pleasing
10's cold
0's freezing

And a couple small bits of trivia:
16 C corresponds to ~61 F.
-40 is the convergence point.

Like Hoth, but that's dumb. There's no way my Ton-ton would freeze before I get to the first marker.

That's... brilliantly terrible.
