http://www.blitwise.com/ptanks.html I can't get to the link from work (game related) so I don't remember the exact link for the download, but there is a free version. Check this game out. I remember playing this type of game a million years ago on my cousin's Apple 2C monochrome green screen computer. Simple concept - two artillery pieces (tanks, ingame) are situated on opposite sides of a ramdomly generated interactive piece of terrain and take turns (10) lobbing various ordinance at each other. Most damage to the other at the end wins. There are upwards of 200 weapons that can be added, but the initial group from the 1.2 deluxe version are enough to keep one interested. There is a free version and a paid version. I believe the paid version has the additional weapons included. Much <3 for the "dirt slinging" type weapons. So fun burying your opponent in it then bombing the crap out of them. |

It took me a bit to remember the name of the windows game from the early 90s. It was Scorched Earth. It appears there was also a Scorched Earth 200 version: http://www.scorch2000.com/ |

Yeaa Scorched Earth. Wonder if my old aliases are still there ("cheap sunglasses" and "Bendy Straw"). We used to play this all the time in BASIC after completing our assignments. |
