I'm torn. On the one hand, it would be cool to not have to do that pesky eating thing if I'm distracted.

I'm thinking so.. If it looks like a plant, smells like a plant, it would qualify to be included in the vegan diet.

Technically its not really half plant I don't think since it is unable to make chlorphyll without robbing the chloroblasts from algae...so its not entirely self-sufficient on the plant side.
Still pretty cool. Cool enough in fact that when I found the article yesterday I texted my plant/animal-kingdom-genius 13 year old stepson to tell him about it....and he quickly corrected me about it not really being half plant! ;)
