New York Style
Both have their places, neither is exceptional, but both are pretty good.

Rynar's post got me thinking; and I'm sure it's been asked before, but... You know the drill. I really think both New York and Chicago share a place in the perfect pizza pantheon. |

I'm fairly certain I haven't had actual chicago style before. I mean, I've had deep dish, or at least what some places call deep dish, but every time someone talks about chicago style pizza, it is completely different from what I've had before. And 9.9 times out of 10, it looks absolutely disgusting. |

I like both, depends on my mood. My favorite pizza (at the moment) is the thin crispy Delight pizza at Papa Murphy's. The Chicken, Bacon, and Artichoke with a garlic white sauce. Mmmm. As long as the pizza is cooked properly and has fresh yummy ingredients I don't care what style. Bring it on! Variety for the win <3 |

I eat a lot of frozen pizza. It actually takes more effort to prepare a frozen pizza than it does to order one. Cheaper, though. Which is the reason I eat them a lot. |

Both please. I go to a number of places in New Jersey and New York and you can't beat the pizza over here. If you order Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc. in New York or New Jersey, you either don't get pizza or don't like good pizza. It's often cheaper and better to order from a real pizza joint. When I was in Chicago (and I do plan on going back this year) I had Gino's East and it was fantastic as well. The cornmeal crust was excellent. I can't wait until I try some Lou Malnati's this year as well as Frontera Grill. And just a quick shout out to the Goose Island Pub at Wrigleyville. It had some fantastic grub as well right before the ballgame. Mmmmm, food! |

Neither, I like an in between greek style pizza, not to thick, not to thin, not so insanely large you need to fold it in half so it doesn't fall apart and that awesome greek crust. |

Heh, we just tried this last night. It's pretty good, though not my favorite style of crust. NY style or something similar, please. Chicago style is too much of a gut buster to be all that enjoyable. |

It's not lookin' good for you in the heart of the South. If you find yourself travelling, though, and spot an Uno's; it's the best Chicago-style you'll find most places (short of Illinois; Chicago has lots of less commercialized authentic options -- though, Ienan, when you go back, go to Duo's sometime, it's one of a kind (even if it's really Uno's, so not exactly.. there's still only one Duo's, though, so fun to say you've been)!) and my general recommendation to people who need to try Chicago style. |

It's the opposite around here, pizza places are at least as common as dunkies, ans around here the saying is there's a dunkies every block weather you need it or not cause there's so many, if I look down a side street from my living room I can see a pizza place, turn left at that one and theres another pizza/sub place a short block away. |

Looking up where they live, there are more choices than just Domino's. They have Pizza Hut, Little Ceasar's, CJ's, Hot Stuffed, and the Lowndes County Attendance Officer listed as pizza places within a not too unreasonable drive. Domino's may very well be the top of the pizza pyramid around there. I marvel at the fiscal wisdom of Lowndes County, "Good afternoon Principal Johnson, here are your truant students and it will be $21.55 for your extra large pepperoni deep dish with a side of bread sticks." |

I prefer a thinner crust. I've had Chicago style a few times, but usually it's just too much food. Plus, these days, now that Uno is no longer in Dallas, I don't know where to find a good Chicago style. There are several NY style places in the area though. |

ROFL!!!! *gasp* oh man that was funny!! Hee hee thanks Micheal! Jeryn, I totally forgot about that place. Its about 30 min away from where I live and the last time I was there, I had a margarita pizza that was soooooo good! That same town has Dave's Dark Horse Tavern and they have some pretty good pizza as well. |

I like 'em both, but we usually order thin crust. And in Chicago, most pizza places refer to them as thick or thin crust, not New York style. |
