With my honey, searching for various stuff that we were looking to upgrade in our house. (The Salvation Army is a great place to find all kinds of antiques for next to nothing) While my lady was checking out a victorian era post bed I wandered off to check and see what they had for books. I totally treasure troved it! I picked up leather bound volumes of Thomas Carlyle's The French Revolution (v's 1 &2) published in 1857. |

Nice! Phe and I love hitting the Salvation Army/Christian Mission/Goodwill stores around here. Some Saturdays we just take the whole day and hit them in neighboring towns. They're so much fun to plow through, and it's a great feeling when you run across that one great antique, or awesome book, or rare find that you can pick up for a steal. |

We do the exact same thing. |

I once found a like new white box edition of DND back when there were only 3 classes. Got it for 3.50. Been offered several hundred for it so far. |

Why isn't there a Salvation Navy? Or Salvation Marine Corps? Or Salvation Self Defense Forces? |
