Just curious. Personally, I usually go to bed sometime between midnight and 1:00 AM, and I get up between 7:30 and 8:30 AM during the week, more like 9:30-10:30 AM on the weekend.

Roughly the same, although sometimes I like to get up at 5:00 or so, and go over my finances, or anything else I want to do undistracted. I grab a nice cup of hot tea, and head out to my enclosed porch and enjoy the morning air and the solitude.

I wake up first at 6:30 AM, and depending on the previous night, hit the snooze button a couple times. As far as bed time, it varies between 10 and 2. (3-4 on Saturday Night.) Sleep time varies even further.

I go to bed between 10 and 11 and set my alarm for 6:15 am (I usually get up about 45 minutes earlier than that, though).

Usually go to bed around midnight, usually wake up around 8a. Some variance.

On the weekends, that goes all to hell. I'll stay up 'til 6am and then sleep until 5 in the afternoon, or any number of weirdnesses like that.

Usually go to sleep around 1am, sometimes a little earlier. Alarm goes off at 6:50; sometimes I hit snooze a time or two.

I try not to sleep much later than 8 or 9 on the weekends these days. Doing so usually makes Monday even more hellacious.

Usually in bed between 10:30PM and midnight. Alarm goes off at 7AM every day, but I'm usually awake anywhere between 2:30 and 5:30, finally getting back to sleep about 10 minutes before the alarm goes off. :(

Stay up until 3 or 4 am, wake up between 11am and 1 pm.

I work 3pm to 2 am.

If I could choose my sleep time, I would choose Elmo's. It's what I did when I was a bartender and it fit me perfectly.

I'm on the Glade Night Shift.

Days I work:

leave for work at 1830, work from 1900-730 or 8
get to bed about 9-10am then sleep for 2 hrs wake up, try and go back to sleep, do this till time to get up at 1700 to start the cycle all over again. I usually work 3 12's in a row, then try to only work 4's or 8's

basically I have no real sleep schedule..because I end up going without sleep on my day off so I can get stuff done with the real world. Yesterday was my day off, didn't go to sleep and was up for 36 hours..although I slept like a rock when I crashed. No waking up every 2 hours.

Another night shifter here, but I do the full-on vampire bit even when I'm not working. Generally try to get to sleep by 9AM and wake up about 5pm. Exception is Thursdays when I do a 16 hour shift at 3PM, usually try to get up at 1pm (but I ride the snooze button til 2 often).

I react differently from Kirra to going without for a long time...yesterday, I had a stupid meeting at 8AM, so I didn't try to go to sleep until I got back around 11AM...no luck. Then I worked 7P to 11p. Crashed around 1AM for all of 4 1/2 hours, then couldn't sleep again, so I futzed around with my computer until now. Gonna try for a little nap before I go in to work in a couple hours.

I used to do this. I'm convinced it took years off my life. Something tells me I'll be doing this once if I make it to med-school though.

OMG Screeling, didn't know you were going to Med School! Good luck!! and yes...your sleep schedule will change, to less sleep..less sleep then not much sleep..then sleep until the nurse gets my *** outta the sleep room for the 10th time..(during residency)

but on a good note..give the nurse whatever she wants (ICU only of course) and she wont demand you come see the patient !

I go to bed at 7 AM and wake at 2 PM, but stay in bed until around 3 because I'm incredibly bad about actually getting up on time.

I actually just wrote someone on the subject. Usually try to sleep from 2230-0000 until 0630. I usually wake up at 0530 and lay there miserably tired but unable to sleep for an hour until my alarm goes off. Then when it does, I get tired and sleep until absolutely possible at 0650.

"I dream while I'm still awake at my desk at work then the next thing you know, I fall asleep for about 3 seconds which feels like 30 minutes and snap awake with part of my body spasming in involuntary muscle movements. When I am falling asleep a night, I know I'm starting to sleep because I start dreaming as I'm still awake. It's really weird to describe. The closet thing I could say is I guess it's almost like hallucinating. Then everything fades to black. After a while, I have awful dreams about god knows what ... ever seen a Nine Inch Nails or Tool music video? It's weirder than that, but it always involves people and places I know. Then, usually after a couple of hours, I dream that something startles me really badly, and I wake up and usually kick or move really violently as I wake up and my pulse is racing. Then the cycle repeats. Maybe another couple of times. I am told I talk in my sleep and have sleep walked too."
