The King makes better burgers, but the clown has a way with fries.

Neither is not an option. And no, Wendy is not an option either.

Jack-in-the-Box please, if we're fast-fooding.

I don't think I've had BK in about 10 years and the handful of times I've had McD's burgers in that span, I've felt ill shortly afterward. But if forced to choose, I guess I'd pick McD's and just order some fries. ;)

Haven't eaten Jack in the Box since their food killed a 3 year old a few years ago.

BK tends to make me sick, and McD's is only good for breakfast. ;)

Both make me feel awful, but if I had to pick one, BK is less gross...

I don't eat fast food.

But if I had to choose, BK > McD

Honestly, neither. Hardee's all the way.

I don't eat much fast food anymore, but if those are the only choices, I slightly prefer McDonald's over BK.

Intellectually, I prefer BK. But, taste-wise, I prefer Mad and Don's Supper Club.

JiTB - has the best ad campaign, but I have to be pretty careful what I order there. Wendy's is just sloppy, tasteless stuff that's never quite what I'm looking for.

Really, Carl's Jr. is better than all of them. A teriyaki burger, Kentucky Bourbon burger, Guacamole burger ... Yum. And last month, Orange Creamsicle shakes!

Carl's Jr. = Hardee's for the unknowing.

McD for breakfast on the run, maybe, if nothing else is available. Just haven't had any luck with the Whoppers here in Sac in many years, gave up on them a few years ago.

I really, seriously dislike Burger King. I hate their burgers. They just...aren't good. Unfortunately, they're the only fast-food joint in our current little town, aside from a Dairy Queen that actually (and shockingly) produces good food.

The strong points I'll offer are that they do have a good breakfast menu (Croissan'Whiches are teh yum) and I do really like their BK Mocha Joes (iced coffees). But on their "regular" menu, the only thing that I can manage to choke down are those little burger shots, and even they're not great.

I like McDonald's, and will occasionally get a craving for one of their burgers or some Chicken McNuggets. I don't care for their signature burger though, the Mc...whatever.

As far as burger joints go, since their revamp, Hardee's gets my money (or would, at least, if one were easily accessible). Five Guys makes a helluva burger as well, but they're even further removed from accessibility. Sonics' are middle-of-the-road burgers, but Checkers' burgers are fantastic.

Edit: Agh! Four people ninja-ed me, none of them Rodahn. :p

In 'n Out does pretty good burgers, great fries and okay shakes. Soft drinks are pretty standard.

The best burgers are by the little independent shops, like Willies, Whitey's and Hefty's around here.

In 'n Out is the best fast-food burger place. Period.

Crazy Burger is the best sit-down burger place. Period.

Between McD and BK, I'd have to second Taskiss' sentiment.

Five Guys has the best burgers anywhere. There is no comparison.

Do you really want to eat fries the clown has had his way with?

No, they're not =, similar, and they have gotten more so in the past few years, but not the same. I cannot get my beloved Mushroom n' Swiss from Carl's

As far as I'm concerned, McDonalds is pretty well at the bottom of the fast-food chain, so I'd have to go with BK. Personally, though, I never frequent either of them. If I'm going to grab a fast-food burger, it'll most likely be from Whataburger, but you won't find those outside of the southern U.S.

The best burgers in Dallas are probably from Balls Hamburgers (go ahead and laugh) over in the Hillcrest area next to SMU.
