I bought a Arm&Hammer SpinBrush. Avoid this thing, your jaw will be numb if you brush for any amount of time. I finally broke down and bought an Oral B 4000. Amazon is selling them for $50 off, very good deal.

But do not get the Spin Brush; unless you have a cavernous mouth, your jaw will be numb.

I don't understand why they haven't perfected the toothbrush yet. It's a toothbrush for God's sake. Behind a sponge, it's arguably the simplest thing in your house.

I had a sonicare. Really liked it until the battery died much too early.

My wife and I have used the Sonicare Elite for a few years now, haven't had any problems with 'em as of yet.

Beware that the Oral-B Pro 4000 sold @ Amazon is actually a Triumph Professional Care 9000 series, which was replaced by the 4000. They even put it in the 4000 packaging.

Sonicare Elite, few years now. Charging base and hand unit still works fine, on at least the 8th or 9th brush.

I had a sonicare elite for a few years, and it worked great until the battery died on me. I learned NOT to keep the brush in the charger all the time this way. Now it sits below my sink waiting for me to get enough junk to take down to a hazardous recycling center. I didn't want to spend the money to replace it at the time it died, so I've been using a $20 cheapo that takes good ol' AA batteries. Nowhere near as nice, but it gets the job done.
