Got any good ones?

Heard a knee-slapper today at work:

Guy from our warehouse lived in the same area as someone I just sat down with from my department, and told her about the brother of a girl he used to date.

Apparently this guy was driving his large rider mower to do various cutting jobs for people. He had modified his mower to fit a cooler on the back, in which he had a couple beers. He had consumed a beer previously and was driving with an opened "one for the road," when found himself out on State Route 243 in Ohio, heading to his next job. In the particular area that my co-worker lives, 243 is a winding road that people fly up and down all the time.

Needless to say, the guy was pulled over by a sheriff, with whom he got into a verbal altercation. The sheriff then calls in another state sheriff and the guy ends up in jail, with his wife having to bail him out.

Even better, the guy's son was apparently running for some state office. "Yep, that's my dad, folks -- come out on election day!"

Years ago in college, a group of us were all sitting and talking together. It was a mix of folks who all had classes together, friends and some new blood. So my friend starts to tell this story about a hilarious/sad news report. Turns out that a woman who lived in the town of Fertile, was in a fatal car accident in a neighboring town named Climax. The news papers of course couldn't leave that alone, so the headline read, "Fertile woman dies in Climax". So after telling the story, one of the new blood speaks up. "yeah, that was my mom...".

Oops.

Vind:

I imagine the scene unfolding kinda like that, actually ;P

Aizle:

I wonder if that guy was just pulling your chain? I've had people play me like that before only to spring j/k on me later.

Another story I remembered from another warehouse worker (man, that must be where all the good stuff happens):

Story-teller was at a party with someone who had a severe loss of hearing -- not completely deaf but close. They had a buffet set up, and the story-teller was in charge of describing the foods to the deaf man. So they are walking down the buffet, and the guy is having various foods described to him, punctuating every so often with a loud "WHAT?!" and the story-teller having to loudly say the name of the food.

Eventually they get to a cheese ball, and the deaf guy asks, "What's this?"

"Cheese Ball!"

"What?!"

"Cheese Ball!!!"

"WHAT?!"

"CHEESE BALL!!!!!"

"Nah, I don't want any French Fries!"

I think he gave up at that point and just continued down the table.
