Congratulations. Everyone survive?

First, I slept in. Then I went and deposited a check. Next I picked up an old friend to spend some time with. We went out for brunch, had Thai food. Picked up some bandages to fix the wound in the back of my neck (sebaceous cyst removed, infected and ruptured - now on two runs of antibiotics and regular bandage changing).

Then we went thrift store shopping for her, she couldn't find anything she wanted bad enough to spend money on. We then went to my favorite Hawaiian shirt store and bought two shirts for me and one for her. We then went over to a place I know and had two petite Chinese ladies give us full body massages including a good foot reflexology session. Smiling and limping out of there we went to Maharoba, a bakery she had heard about, and picked up several Japanese pastries, yummy. Then over to Morant's (a German butcher shop) to pick up a variety of Brats and other sausage. That accomplished we went back to my place, had dinner. I had a nice nap while she used my computer to talk with friends. Then we went over to Arden Fair Mall and watched The Losers. Its a fun flick, lots of shoot em up, mercenaries and action. Chris Evans was a lot of fun in it. After the movie we went to a coffeehouse and sat and talked for awhile, then I dropped her off at her place and went home.

It was a pretty good day.

No, we're just old friends having fun spending time together, nothing romantic. She's pretty wounded there so I'm just being the good friend.

Spent last night painting my bathroom and found out I was short 1/3 of a quart of paint for the second coat, but I didn't get up in time to get another can. Picked up some stuff at the grocery store, then hung up a new picture. Was supposed to go over to my friend's house for a rare weekend night off's fun, but he and the wife got the kids off to Grandma's and realized they hadn't had any alone time together for over 4 months and postponed me till tomorrow. I don't mind, I've still got another 9 days of vacation to get through. :)

Now I'm just hanging out, doing some laundry, perusing the Glade, and catching up on some emails. Gotta say, even though it's more of a staycation than a vactaion, it's damn nice to not have to set my alarm clock right now ;)

I got home from work at 8am, went to bed, it was drizzeling light rain and about 65 degrees, perfect sleeping weather. Fell asleep and woke up a couple times, read my kindle book, sleep some more.. Then time to get up, shower, eat and back to work again. I am very boring.

Well, yesterday I was staying in my new apartment, hiding from the flooding.

Today, I am...staying in my new apartment, hiding from the flooding.

LOL welcome to Tennessee! I promise this is atypical. We haven't had a drop in Knoxville; it's just following the western edge of the plateau and not crossing it. We may start catching hell later this evening though.

So far today... Mowing and weedeating for me in the morning, followed by playing horseshoes in the back yard with the kids and my folks. In for lunch, then right back outside again to go riding bikes for a few miles around the neighborhood. Back in again for a while - it's nearly 90 degrees out, very sunny, and very humid. My stepson's got a friend over to play now - I'll probably stick the sprinkler out in the back yard here in a couple hours and let them get soaked and run themselves ragged for a while.

Up next for me though: grocery shopping! Weeeee. Then dinner, and then some laundry and other general "prep the kids for school tomorrow" type stuff.

Yesterday I woke up, then spent the entire day doing awesome things. A great hike, even though it was snowing. Wandering around an amazing cave seeing things that the general public never sees. Spending time with my new coworkers who are pretty much just awesome people all around.

Then I came home, and headed right up to the family cabin. Still 4' of snow up there, and it snowed another 4-6" overnight. It's still beautiful up there, but soon we'll be in the crappy no snow and no plant life phase, but at least that doesn't usually last long. I also slept amazingly well last night.

Woke up early as hell, ate, got high, stretched, worked out, did kung fu, stared at my a** in the mirror for 30 minutes, smoked more, took a short nap, ate, and showered and I'm about to go to work soon.

Today was the day after my best friends Stag & Doe (not sure what they call it in everyone else's parts. Basically a big party to raise money for the bride & groom). I was one of the Groomsman so was busy most of the night runing events and ****, but we all let loose about midnight and had an absolutle blast at the after party. Then we had the smart idea to go golfing this morning at noon haha, which was great thru the 5th hole and then my game went to **** obviously.

Wouldn't have traded it for the world though.

I spent all day trying to pick up girls... one actually turned into a date, and we got icecream and walked around by the river and stuff. But turned out she had a boyfriend. Oh well. Note that I talked to maybe 50+ girls throughout the day, so it's just a numbers game. I'm not particularly charming.

Yesterday I did the same with my friend, but he talked too much and messed up my game (which isn't great anyways).

Yes, because the rest of us know that FarSky is starting/has started a new job in Nashville, Tennessee and Pheona is bored home in Alabama, finishing out her notice at work and living the truism that you don't leave either red-headed or southern girls bored and alone at home. The cartoonist should be okay up until Phe finds out about the killing off of one of Phe's favorite characters and she goes all Kathy Bates on him or her.

Dang...Micheal beat me to it...but then I was celebrating the Sharks win and came in to the party a little late! :P

FarSky is guarding the fort against the floods in Nashville, which fortunately have gone north of my son and stepson, unfortunately for FarSky. I don't see the lovely Pheona going Kathy Bates on anyone...however I have been wrong in the past once or twice! :D

Again, FarSky, stay dry and be safe!!

picked up my Labrador from the pet-ER. He decided Raisins were a tasty treat.... about 6 oz of them. total damge: 400$ and a torn shirt--the latter earned while I tried to force feed a 85lb labrador hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit, all by myself...

Picked up my daughter from camping, dried her off, played some Final Fantasy XIII, spent 3 hours hanging out with a gorgeous 5'11" redhead

I went to Anachrocon on Sat. Afterwards I went out with friends and on the way to pick up one girl's boyfriend and the other's sister so we could all go get food, first girl points out that it's free comic day. In the first comic shop we see there's a guy with a sign that says free sketches. First girl freaks out because it happens to by the artist who draws her boyfriend's favorite comic. So we did the obvious thing. But don't worry, we let him escape after a half hour or so. When he spilled water on said boyfriend's tablet.

Also, temporarily not a red-head. :?

Took my happy pill, and a 1mg Xanax. Walked dog, was too late for my stupid 7:30 meeting to get coffee or food, since I forgot to get my **** for smoothies out. Took more Xanax, .5mg this time, washed down with a Monster, repeated this a little while later. Performed my usual overload of work, currently contemplating nasty things in the deep dark pit my brain seems to have crawled into, related them to my wife.

I love having a job that is literally killing me due to the stress, I tell management as much, I get 1 dinky item removed for all of 1 day, and then it's business as usual. I'm either going to die in this stupid cube, or test the safety features of the WRX at 150mph.

It doesn't strike you as a bit counter-productive to take an anti-anxiety medication with a heaping spoonful of ridiculous energy drink?
