My friend wants me to sing and play Eva Cassidy's rendition of 'Songbird' at her wedding next weekend. I have no problem with this, it's very easy to sing, but I SUCK at guitar and all I can do is a basic arpeggio plucking of the chords going down and up each note in the chord....very boring to listen to.
Any suggestions? Here is a link to the chords and the lyrics... http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/e/e ... r2_crd.htm

Probably not much you can do about improving the arrangement or your skills this late in the game.

I'd focus on practicing whatever you are comfortable with and go with that.

Youtube is a great resource for finding nifty arrangements and ideas for fills and such. You might find something interesting to spice it up that way. I'm sure there are a bunch of covers of that song out there (some better than others).

LK, I'll put you on the list.

Noting your current position on the list, and the current rate that I'm turning out guitars, yours' should be ready just in time to play it at your youngest childs' grandkids wedding. :p

I'll check in with you in about 30 years to discuss the details. :)
