Questions combo!

1.) Is being a kind, non-aggressive person a sign of weakness?

2.) You are stopped at a stop sign, but not the first car in line. When the cars in front of you depart, are you legally obliged to stop right in front of the sign and then proceed, or has your previous waiting counted as coming to a complete stop already?

3.) Who would win in a fight: Dr. Who or Q (from Star Trek)?

4.) (Speaking of Q) Who QQs more in MMOs: Rangers (or similar class) or Paladins (or similar class)?

5.) Is ignorance bliss, or just ignorance?

6.) For Men: If a woman were once a man, would you still have sex with her? For Women: Vice versa?

1) Generally no. However, depending on how you carry yourself while being kind and non-aggressive, it might be.
2) Each car has to stop at the stop line.
3) Pass.
4) IMO, the more offensive hybrid. DPS hybrids have a lot more competition than defensive (tank or healer), so will be more sensitive to perceived imbalance.
5) I generally like to be knowledgeable about everything, but some things I just don't want to know.
6) Probably not.
7) Pass.
8) Pass.
9) Not sure what you mean.
10) Probably not.

In California, yes. your state may have different rules.

I've been celibate for a decade, and monogamous for a decade and a half before that. Today, for me the question would involve emotional content, do I care enough about this person to want to make love with them. It would also involve knowing if the now-woman was once a man. Back in my twenties, before I hooked up with the woman who became my wife - probably, just to have done it.

Yes.

Leading question, standard joke answer is congress, there are several answers based on non-joke status, such as decline, decrease, and retreat.

Women multi-task much better than men, in general. Administration is a field that demands multi-tasking.

Yes, I would, if the offer came from God. Given such an offer would probably not come from God, I doubt I will have to make that choice.

1. No. That's probably me to a T(with the exception of sporting events...I'm a beast). I don't think I'm weak at all. Pick your spots.

2. Legally, yeah but I admit if I'm the only one going through then I just do the slow roll then head on through.

3. I'd go with Dr. Who mostly because I'm not as familiar with Q. I'm assuming this would be some battle of wits or chess match cause neither of them strikes me as the physical type.

4. QQs? Maybe I've been out too long but I don't remember or know what that is. I'll just go with Ranger.

Q is a near omnipotent being in the Star Trek universe. Lots of smarts, godlike powers, but he blew his wisdom roll. Doesn't realize he blew it though. Considers the Captains of Star Fleet his playmates.

QQ = crying/crybaby, used in a humiliating sense in most cases.

Legally, probably should stop. I just use my judgment. If I can see there is no oncoming traffic, and there are no cops, I'll go.

9. I first read this and thought administration was referring to Management positions..but then noticed Rodahn saying it is office positions. I believe there are more women in office positions due to the stereotype that it is a womans job, just like nursing was considered a womans job. Men don't want to take these positions because of this stereotype and for fear they will be considered "less" of a man. Be honest...would you make fun of a male secretary or consider him a strong male role model?

I think that you can be a nice person without being weak, but like Nev was getting at, the trick is not being passive to the point of being a floor mat. If you give people the chance to walk over you, they will.

I agree with Nevandal, regarding the approval-seeking behavior. Being kind in and of itself isn't a sign of weakness.

It's a tricky one. Let's say there isn't a line of cars to begin with. Who's to say you have to stop right at the line. Being stopped 5 feet from the sign should still be considered stopping. Maybe you like to stop earlier for precautionary reasons, such as intersections being the leading location of all traffic accidents. So it's okay to stop early without people in front of you, who's to say you have to pull forward just because the person ahead of you pulled far out into the intersection to stop? What if they were already peeking out ahead of the line when they stopped, and you were basically at the stopping point prior to them going? Do you need to pull forward past the stop sign just because they moved and you need to show the officer that you're making a conscious effort to stop a second time? There's a lot of vagueness when it comes to stopping. There isn't a specific line at a stop sign that you need to stop at. It's more of a general area that you need to stop at.

Both. Who can argue with the bliss that is being a child? Ignorance can be very blissful. My friend has health issues that are hereditary. He'd rather not know than know his fate. If he has the disease, there's literally nothing that can be done for it and his mom is currently dying from it. If he were to know, it'd control his entire life. He'd pretty much know when he was going to die. I suppose that can be a good or a bad thing, depending how you take it and if it's what you personally desire.

Then again, being ignorant can obviously be a very bad thing as well.

I believe so. However, I also believe it works against them at times as well. Being the most loved means you're also probably the most hated. When you're constantly on top, people want to see you topple.

It's easy. It's uninteresting to men. Also, it may have to do with money. Since the gender pay issue is still existent, it's likely they select women so they can pay them less. Also, I believe it has a lot to do with our graduation rates of this era. Women outnumber men as far as total number of undergraduate students enrolled across the nation, by a pretty substantial margin. Just from 1969 to 2000, the undergraduate enrollment for women has increased at a 157% rate, surpassing men...and that was 10 years ago. A majority of every degree type from masters down to associates are earned more by women.

What do all those statistics mean? It means that there are a hell of a lot of educated women who need to fall into a position somewhere. There are more women out there looking for positions.

It'd be tempting. I'd love to have a second opportunity to experience life. However, I learned many things from my mistakes. It's a one shot deal, and that's what makes life so crazy.
