This is the thread for 'em. (Not to be confused with the Random Picture thread *bowsdowntotheawesomenessthatistherandompicturethread* my "witty" replies to posts just happen to be photos I've found.) This could also serve as a sort of library I suppose....the situation may arise where some of these are needed....and some may be so random they never get used at all, but should be shared...hence this thread.

So I'm at work telling my buddy about what happened the previous night. -- I got up about midnight and there was a bunch of clanking around in the kitchen so I went to see what was going on. My stepdaughter had a band staying at the house because, I don't know, they were passing through town and needed a place to stay for the night. This guy's at the stove and he's cooking ramen noodles, and he mixed in some tuna. Apparently his name was Rock and he liked tuna in his ramen. It stunk up the whole kitchen. I just introduced myself and went back to bed. -- My friend looks at me and groans and said, "Oh, here comes the punch line..." I just stared at him blankly. "Ha ha, very funny, So I guess you could say you smelled what Rock was cooking?" I am still kicking myself to this day, because that's got to be the only time in my entire life I will be able to use that line and I swear I totally blew it. So now I've got that one queued up, and I'm saving it in case I ever find myself in that situation again.

Uinan, that is wicked awesome, hahaha! Vlad, duuuuude, aw man! Don't you hate that? That would have been soooo cool if you had been the one who got to say it, hahaha! You still get to tell the story though....preface it with "One night at my house..." and leave the part out about your friend saying the punchline.

Until last week I would have said "so is your face" but I have been using it a lot lately, with all of the timing and precision of John Dorian. So I will settle for waiting to use "sometimes I dream of stapling your fingers to your face." |
