I don't get it. Is the second photo supposed to be hot?

The hair makes it look like she was set on fire... does that count?

She's an attractive woman to me. Not necessarily the type I'd go for. But it is funny to see what people looked like before they grew up, though, no matter where you're "considered" on the "hot spectrum."

Maybe it should be "Before You Thought You Were Hot" ?

There's nothing wrong with the gal in the OP (well, from a looks standpoint, she could easily be insufficiently hot for her particular level of crazy). Is she Charlize Theron? No, but other than Charlize Theron, who is?

Yeah, I don't see why she isn't attractive. Or can a woman only be hot if she has only one hair color and no make-up?

The hair is atrocious. Looks to have been streaked with a 6" brush... badly.

This surprises me. I thought guys liked the big-hair/big make-up/big jewelry sort of thing.
Maybe its because her boobies aren't hanging out of her shirt. Someone photo shop her in something with a plunging neckline and some cleavage.

She has a pretty face, but if I saw her in a bar, I wouldn't give her a second glance. The orange fake tan, over-done makeup, and the hair-do just doesn't do it for me. At all.

Nothing wrong with tanning, or makeup. Just don't over do it. Also, not a fan of the overly bleached hair, either. I really don't understand men's obsession with blonde hair. I much prefer redheads or brunettes. If it's naturally blonde, that's one thing, but there's no reason to bleach the crap out of it.

Yeah, she screams "cheap". Now, it's possible that a plunging neckline might prevent me from focusing on her hair...

I may be over 50... by a few years... but I'm still male. ;)

She looks plastic, which is sad because she's got a great face that doesn't need to look generic.

Since I've discovered the wonderfulness of makeup, I'd say it could make most living breathing females hot to some degree.

I think it's just fun to see the before and after especially where age was involved... my baby pictures were hahahhahaha... I'd kill anyone who dares to open my family picture albums... (since killing mum isnt an option >.<)

I think she's just got a look that's "dated". The photo is obviously from years age; that style/look, from the hair to the tan to the make-up, was really popular a decade ago.

No way! Hahahah! We did that senior year in highschool for our senior video and when my little kid pic came up everyone wondered what ugly dude it was. You wanna talk about an ugly duckling....

apparently I don't look much different. I had a guy I hadn't seen in 20 years come over to me at a completely unexpected venue, and ask if I was indeed myself.

On a side note it's kind of scary when you see someone you went to school with has gone stark bald.

I would say the look you described is out nowadays LK. I'd say the look that's in for women is more natural looking makeup and features. Big hair was out in the late 80's. I don't see many women with the big hair unless they're forced to nowadays. As for big jewelry, it truly depends on the piece. But for the most part I don't see huge earrings anymore. It's now just one big necklace or bracelet and I appreciate that look more as it doesn't look gaudy or over the top.

Maybe it depends on what region you are in? I know down here (and parts of Texas....) big hair and jewelry will always be "in" whether the guys appreciate it or not.
As for me, I've always been a long haired no-hairspray and no make-up natural kind of person. I like to get dolled up every now and then but that mostly involves straightening my hair and putting on some lipstick.
I gotta admit I sometimes envy the women with the dark tans, the expensive makeup and the costly hair dye 'n do.

Maybe, but up in New Jersey/NYC, it's exactly as I described. It's not that there's less makeup or anything, it's just more natural looking. Just look at the celebrities of today and you'll see what I mean. For the most part, they fit the mold I'm talking about. But as you said, that may be a coastal thing, like NYC and LA-type look.

It actually takes longer to achieve the 'natural look' than it does to achieve the over made look...

True. What guys think is the "natural look" is usually the product of at least an hour of carefully blended makeup and hair tousling with just the right product.....the real natural look is often labeled "dirty hippy." Hahahaha! :D
