What are some things you can do at home alone by yourself that is fun? (No go-to-my-bunk jokes....)
There used to be fun things on the internet but they all disappeared.

I play video games and I watch youtube videos.

EDIT:

And sometimes I quote things out loud to no one in particular. Quotes from movies, TV shows and video games. I like to see how much I can actually remember. I even go as far as to try and imitate the voices.

Raltar: Good idea. I like non-action games though...more like board games.
I could quote Monty Python movies and The Princess Bride all day.

Nev: I'm too fatigued for exercise and its too hot outside to even go to the mailbox. It's a pity because walking is sooooo great! I have to wait until the weather cools of though...its not safe for me to be walking in this heat.

Your husband is going to kill me in 5-7 years for making this suggestion but ...

Have you considered getting into the whole altered art thing? You know ... scrap booking and card making and such?

You can have fun at home?

Khross, actually I did that for like 3 months straight when we lost our son but then I put everything in boxes in the attic because I was spending as much as 10 hours a day on it.

I'm the kind of person that tends to jump from one hobby to the next....I get completely engrossed in it for about 3 months and then put it down completely. I'm sort of in the middle of the putting down phase of the jewelry making that I spent all of my money on, hahaha!

I did the scrapbooking but not the card-making...hmmmm...tell me more....

It took me years to realize that one can have fun without the interaction or audience of other people. Part of getting old I guess is being able to enjoy one's own company. :)

There's always reading.

I do a consistent 75 books per year resolution.

It helps moderate my computer time ::nods::

Cooking is also a fun hobby.

Yeah I have some books I need to take back to the library....I'm sort of at a crossroads with books right now and I'm not really sure what I would like to be reading.
I've been an avid reader for 25 years and I'm stumped right now as to what sounds appealing.
lol@ the "moderating my computer time" :D

Cooking I love but I'm too nauseous to enjoy the smells of food right now unfortunately. Maybe I could start with recipes that require no actual "cooking" and with ingredients that have no scent? Hahahaha, salads FTW?

For fun, I build ship models. Perhaps you could build the doll house models and donate them or something, my sister does that.

Yeah, I second Taskiss. Modelling is very relaxing and fun.

Go splash in a puddle, go for a walk and explore new areas in your neighborhood, get some cardboard boxes and stuff around the house and make a robot costume. Get into chemistry and make cool explody things. Try to build your own flying machine.

....and get a stuffed Tiger to go along with me in all of these pursuits? :D

Hee hee.

Oh how I wish it was cool enough outside to go for a walk!!!

Honestly, I really enjoy going for leisurely walks around the neighborhood and looking at the yards in the neighborhood. Even the guy that's got like 2 junkers parked out front really pique my interest. Or I go exploring in the brush surrounding my neighborhood. You find all kindsa weird crap out there.

Musical instruments are always great time wasters, I believe you play guitar? Learn some new songs, or write some of your own!

*whew!* Screeling when I saw your name at the top and clicked on the thread I thought for sure you were gonna tell me to start spending more time in the bathroom...with a biology set and a microscope or something, hahahahaha!

I love walking too...but, again, its WAY TOO HOT.

I've been doing that, actually. Lots of fun. :) I've contemplated writing a song about some of the Gladers here...maybe I'll get on that.

Hot? Give me a break! I jog in 105 degree weather.

But naw, everybody already takes a dump. If they don't know how to properly take advantage of that time, their life is already lost. They can only hope to make up for it in some small, other way.

I'm only slightly disappointed. If it weren't for the 24/7 nausea, I would totally be expecting you to launch into "101 weird things to do with your poo" or something, hahahaha!

Refinish the coffee table?

Or.. learn to build an instrument ? Ukulele kits are cheap and can mostly be built with tools you might already have around the house.

Midge I still wanna do that! Its just not something I can do right now. Micheal...that seems doable. I'll go get the ingredients tomorrow.
Hokanu I'm lazy, hahaha, what are they about?
