Have a happy and safe 4th, everyone! What's your plans for today? We're having 20-25 people over for burgers and brats...come on over! |

On meds, staying home and sleeping. This is truly okay, my regular ID party has faded to just a few of us chatting, which we get together to do on a regular basis anyway. Skipping this one to get some rest and get better is a great thing. |

I worked up at the cave, but it was surprisingly slow today, was expecting it to be very busy. Tomorrow will probably be hell though. Headed out to a bbq at a friends in just a bit, lives basically on the beach of Utah Lake, so some boating/swimming is definately in the mix as well. |

Slow cooked some babyback ribs on the BBQ today. Just waiting for it to get dark to be able to watch the neighborhood illegal fireworks display! They've put on a good display the past couple of years! Funny how I can drive 30 minutes and buy fireworks but can't set them off legally in my own front yard! We MUST think of the children, you know!! Hell, I learned at 5 years old that sparklers are HOT! don't touch!! Oh well, I don't have little kids at home anymore so I'll just enjoy what my neighbors set off tonight!! Happy Independence Day everyone!! |

Was blown out of a nice nap by the fireworks over at Old Sacramento, a little over a mile away. Small booms, lots of small booms, great big single boom, sirens. I'm afraid to check the news. |
