I think I take issue with your "it's not the best beer in the world" sentiment. Have you had it? It is F*cking epic IPA. Personally, I think I've had more than a case of it. |

Holy ****! Not sold anywhere near me, to my knowledge. I might have to track down a serious booze shop soon. |

I've had this once and lament that I can no longer find it. I'll have to... track... it down. |

According to their site, it is at my favorite supermarket. I need to go there tomorrow to restock food tomorrow anyway, I'll see if they do have it. |

Quote: We don't mess with Texas...sorry... Texas state law forbids us to allow searching of beer related retail shops online. Ugh, seriously TX? Could your liquor laws be any MORE idiotic? |

As a matter of fact, I was drinking it while I was posting and I agree that it is pretty damn good. However, there is at least one IPA that I've found to be even tastier: Maharaja Imperial IPA from Avery Brewing Co.I'd also hazard the opinion that the following are easily as good as, or better than, Ranger IPA:
Of course, it might be a little unfair to compare a standard IPA to a list of double IPAs but if I'm shopping and they're all available, they're not all coming home with me. |

I agree, Maharaja is excellent, as is Dogfish head (60 and 90), and Hop Stoopid, haven't had the divide, pine, or moylan's yet. Have you had Modus Hoperandi from Ska Brewing yet, or Deschutes Inversion? Both also amazing IPA's. P.S. Can't believe I forgot stone, both their IPA and their Ruination are incredible. (Ruination not for beginners.) |

No, haven't had the pleasure of tasting Modus Hoperandi or Deschutes Inversion. I live a couple of miles from a really great beverage store, though, and am slowly working my way through what they've got, so I'll probably get to 'em eventually. |

I think Shel and Dark just became my bff's. Agree completely. Maharaja is glorious and Dogfish 90 is god damn epic. Don't get me started on Stone. Beergasm. |

Ranger is darn good. The clerk stocking the aisle, who readily identified himself as a beer dork, got a big smile on his face when I asked for Ranger, took me right to it. Then he recommended Brother Thelonius, a Belgian Style Abbey Ale. I bought one, look forward to trying it the next time I want a good beer. Seems the creator was greatly affected by the music of Thelonius Monk and decided to pay tribute to him with the finest ale he could brew. |

No Hopwin beer? Sigh. I prefer Sam Adams Noble Pils. They should brew it year round. |

I bought a six-pack of that Hopwin. Dragged it out over four months. Didn't want to rush through them. Good stuff. |
