You should read the wikipedia entry for Bohemian Rhapsody. It's pretty fascinating. |

I think Queen certainly owes a lot of gratitude to Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. I don't think they would have experienced such a resurgence had it not been for Wayne's World. Not that they don't deserve it, but they were beginning to fade as the new generations came of age. |

Up until the Wayne's World movie, the only thing I remember hearing from them was We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust and We Will Rock You. After that movie, I became real interested in them and they became one of my favorite groups and Freddy became one of my favorite entertainers. |

Yeah, this is because you were born a generation too late my friend. When I was a kid, Queen was one of the biggest things around. Them and KISS. I remember down here in south Miss. when the radio stations couldn't play Bohemian Rhapsody. The Bible thumpers protested and it got banned for content shortly after it aired. I remember hearing it a couple of times prior to the ban, and didn't hear it again until my early 20's when I had the money to buy their albums. I do remember hearing their other works on the radio, though. Bicycle Race, Fat Bottomed Girls, Somebody to Love, etc. They were cutting edge back in the 70s. |

Queen will always be my favorite band. Always. Personally, I HATE Wayne's World...I thought the Bohemian Rhapsody scene sucked and its insulting to me they even did that...but I'm the minority on that one I think. I like the typical Queen stuff, but I also like everything else as well...they were so darn versatile. I think News of The World and A Night At The Opera were my favorite albums. Made In Heaven was a good one as well. The Prophets Song is really cool...the harmonizing just is really freaking awesome. But really, almost every single one of Queen's songs has me in awe. Except maybe Get Down Make Love...I always thought that one was odd, but so was Freddy....genius though he was. |

The only album I have is A Kind of Magic, because the Highlander stuff (and the title track) is awesome. I like a smattering of their other songs, too, though. |

It's a damn shame. |
