What's the proper way to warm up left-over fried chicken? What's the fastest way to warm up left-over fried chicken? Oh, hell, I'm eatin' it cold. |

Microwave. You can microwave just about everything, to reheat it....but you have to do it right. If something needs 60 seconds of cook-time, for example, break it up into sections...and move it around. Even if the plate rotates. Do 10 seconds in the middle of the plate....10 seconds on the edge in 1 orientation, flip it over, then do 20 seconds in another orientation. It sounds like a pain, but it's still much faster than using an oven. Cook the smallest amount of food possible. If you want 2 or 3 pieces of chicken, microwave only 1 at a time. This is especially true of any food that has bread...such as pizza. Follow my rules and you'll never have unevenly heated food from a microwave. OH, and cover that sh*t so it doesn't lose moisture! Good luck with your microwave-fu. Lol. |

I just eat it cold. Like, for real. I love cold fried chicken. I dunno if it is bad for you(like, I know fried foods aren't exactly healthy, but that's not what I mean, really), but damn it's good. |

Take the pieces of chicken and wedge them under your armpits. Then jog in place for 30-40 minutes. |

Vladimirr wrote: toaster oven ftw This. Totally. You can get a toaster oven for like ten bucks at wal-mart and it does an excellent job of reheating food and keeping its original texture and moisture. |

Best way is pop it in a deep fat fryer if you have one, other wise toaster/oven. nuking takes away the nice crunch usually. |

I kind of like to heat up the oven and throw it in for 20 minutes or so. |

My wife and I go through this all the time. She wants food for the family on the table fast, so she'll microwave leftover fried chicken or pizza, or even fish sticks (ugh), and they lose all the crunchy goodness. At work, I'll do a workaround - microwave for what I think is about two-thirds the time that it needs, then toaster it the rest of the wave. Works out OK, for the most part. |

Go get one. Run, don't walk! It has all the benefits of a microwave (read: speed), and the toasty goodness of an oven.... It's great for oven-baked sandwiches!!! So nummy and so fast! |

If you refry the chicken won't you end up burning the skin and with a half-re-cooked inside? |

Hopwin wrote: If you refry the chicken won't you end up burning the skin and with a half-re-cooked inside? I was going to mention this as a suggestion but then I remembered how nasty double-fried french fries are. I hate when they double dip 'em to make 'em look fresh. |
