If you were one of the trapped Chilean Miners...how would you keep from going crazy trapped for 4 months with 33 people you work with in a 500 square foot room? What could you ask them to send down to help? |

Arathain, I'm glad you asked for the toilet first... But yea, I think I'd be worried about sanitation in the confined space, so I'd be asking to implement some way to dispose of waste. A decent light source, with a natural spectrum of light (i.e. feels/looks like sunshine). Some way to stay in touch with the outside world... perhaps pipe local radio in, and a way to communicate with friends family. Other than decent food and clean water, and other 'basics', I think that covers the necessities. Extras... yea some way to pass the time... |

I have to admit, I had the "lotion" thought, too. And I heard that there will be some sort of wire set up so that they can gave contact with their families, etc. Oh, I know, maybe a white noise machine. Otherwise, all you're going to hear are your co-workers for 4 months. Gonna need something to drown that out, and even to give you a little something other than deafening silence when everyone is asleep. |
