The slight smell of dust burning off of the heating elements wafting through the apartment, the crisp air outside... I love autumn. Mmmm. |

Bah, we had like 2 weeks of "Hey, it's starting to get nice" before somebody turned back the clock to July and three digit temps. If I find out who that someone is... /cracks knuckles |

We were supposed to have contractors coming in to set up a new air conditioner. In July. It's September. They're not here yet. But the slackroom is now nice instead of a toaster. |

I was just thinking about that this morning when I put a sweater on because I felt chilly. (hooray!) It's about 70ish in the house every morning...not quite cool enough yet for the heater, but its getting there. And yeah, we had a nice cool spell for a couple weeks too and then went back to 3 digit temps. Hoping this time it stays cool...we're only getting into the mid-high eighties during the day now. |

Still haven't turned on the heater here, yet. It's 63 in the house this morning, but it will go up past 70 by noon. |

Not yet, usually wait until November. Yesterday was the first day I didn't turn on the air conditioner though. |

I hate you all. I'm still marinating in my ball sweat all day sitting it 95+ degree temperatures. But, it's not supposed to be as hot over the next few days. Still not heater time, though(and I'm moving in 8 days anyway). |

Kel and I won't turn the heat on until around Thanksgiving. We make a game out of who can wait the longest. |

We won't be turning the heaters on for a while yet. It was close to 100 degrees all last week, just barely 70 to 75 degrees over the weekend. Hubby will get cold well before I do, though. |

Mid-70s in downtown L.A. today. Perfect weather for a baseball game, which is where I was. Really, Raltar, not all of SoCal is a hell-hole. |

I refuse to turn on my furnace this early so I've been carrying a space heater from room to room |

I won't be turning on the heater until the house starts dropping below 60 degrees. That should be about mid December. Actually, I still have to run the AC to keep the upstairs below 80. Stupid Army base housing... |

It was 29 degrees outside this morning. It's 54 now. "Loving it?" Mother Nature can take her frigid temperatures and shove them right up her south pole. |

Its 73 degrees here on its way to 82. Summer's pretty much done I *hate* cold weather. You have to put so much damn clothing on to be outside, and then when you go into the office its all nice and climate controlled and you either have to spend time stripping off all that clothing or suffer. Or you do what I do and just deal with being cold from the house to the truck, and the truck to the office. And then just never go outside. |

Taamar probably won't let the heater kick in until December. |

It should be maintained at a comfortable temperature for long pants and long sleeves. Then, you put on a warm coat, hat, gloves, and maybe a sweater or something if it's polar-bear-killingly cold to go outside. Coat, hat, and gloves aren't a nuisance to don/doff. You grab your coat with the gloves and hat in the pockets, and have equipped yourself by the time you make it from your office to the front door. |

I find hot weather to be far more troublesome than cold. One can always add more layers for additional warmth, but you can only strip down so far without becoming indecent. |

Yes, coat, hat and gloves are a nuisance. I'm clad in short sleeve shirt/shorts/shoes pretty much year round. Anything more than that is a nuisance to either wear or carry or store at the office. Sleeves and pants are tools of the man to keep a brother down. Hell, some days I don't even like to bother with socks. |
