The kids went around last Thursday. Apparently, I'm off the beaten path, now; one kid showed up.

I got rid of most of the rest of my candy on Friday night, though, at the housewarming party I finally got around to having, which morphed into a Rock Band party about 4 hours in.

Closing down the house and going to see a movie.

Most years we get vans of teenagers brought in from other neighborhoods that don't even bother with costumes. I'm not rewarding those chumps.

We only have two little kids in the immediate neighborhood and they are usually out before dark out before dark.

Besides, it keeps me from sitting around waiting next to a bowl of candy. My blood sugar approves.

Good luck and have fun.....handing out candy at the in-laws place, whilst they take the nephews out for a bit.

If last year is any indication of what to expect, we'll have several hundred kids ring the bell tonight.

What candy I don't eat I'll share :D

Heading to brothers neighborhood.. tons of little kids. They damn near shut the whole neighborhood down for a Halloween block party. Pretty fun stuff for the kids of course... :p

Ogling Dorothy pics?

Went to a friend-of-a-friend's house yesterday for a long, long day of geek gaming. Today ... I think we're treating it like just another Sunday.

I handed out candy on the porch next to my jack o lantern, brought excess candy in to work which is rapidly being consumed by coworkers.

Man, we only had like 20 kids. They must be lazy this year. More candy for me.

I gave out about 147 pieces of candy.

We had probably 200+ kids. We had purchased probably enough candy to fill a 5 gallon bucket and 90% of it was given away. Most of the bulk of the candy was in packaging.

I gave out over a thousands pieces of candy and still ran out before it ended.

For the first time, we live on a street that has pretty heavy traffic. My wife thought I was nuts for buying 14 pounds of candy (she counted it all up, apparently), but we gave away most of it. Then we re-treated some of the stuff my son had gotten on his jaunt around the neighborhood.

I went a bit crazy and transformed the front yard into a graveyard. Scared a few toddlers, so that was fun. Dressed up in my Ren Fair stuff, put on a skeleton mask, and stood motionless as kids came into the yard. I love scaring ten-year olds!

I didn't get as many trick or treaters as I expected, which probably was a good thing since I had already treated myself some of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and thus was a bit light on treats

Well, I managed to get to go to work, which is a challenge on the weekend as my wife works 7 AM to 730PM at the Hospice Center in downtown Atlanta, drop my daughter off for someone else to get to take her to boo at the zoo, finshed working my 7th day straight (due to the Cholera outbreak in Haiti), manage to get out in time to take her to go out with friends, tried to look for something for my birthday at BestBuy (no luck), got to eat by birthday dinner alone, and head back home to wait for wife, pick up daught and go home to bed to start over again today at 0530.

At least last weekend we got to spend all Saturday together and Sunday night doing truck or treat at the church!

Here's me in the front yard at the end of the night. Just picture a bunch of fog floating around and no camera flash, to get the full effect.
