Quote: The Keystroker emulates a keyboard and mouse and periodically makes random mouse movements, toggles caps-lock and types out odd garbage text and phrases. Switches on the side allow you to choose between keyboard garbage typing, caps lock-toggle, annoying mouse movements or all three. An adjustment dial sets the duration between "events". We recommend you don't set it too frequently so as to extend the agony. Your hapless co-worker pal will think his computer has been possessed or infected by a destructive virus. As he writhes in anger and furiously dials tech support you can rest easy with a job well done. WARNING The Phantom Keystroker never hits the return key and it never clicks the mouse button. However you should not use it on anyone's system who is doing critical work where disruption could cause serious consequences. The Phantom Keystroker is a joke, like any joke you need to use prudence and judgement when executing it. You have been warned! And I thought the Annoy-o-tron was bad! |

Once IT is called and the device found, you would have to fess up to your victim. Or just be sure to remove it before IT comes around, then replace after they leave. Victim wrote: "But it was doing it for the past three days, I swear" IT person wrote: Okay, sure it was. Call me when it acts up again. Hrmms, I may have to get one of these to deal with some of the problem people around here. I'll "fix" your computer for you...sure. |

That sounds like it would be handy for event-recorders on people's computers for when they work at home. |

I don't get it. How could someone not notice a big usb device in their port? The only way it could work would be if they have a desktop and you put it in the back port and they happen to not look behind it. Everyone here at work have laptops so I don't think it would work very well. Unless someone is completely oblivious. |

My desktop is on the floor under my desk. Also, many people use wireless KBs and mice. The receiver looks quite similar in most cases. You could place the device immediately next to the receiver and possibly hide it almost in plain sight. Other than that, it would be pretty hard to not see this sticking out of your PC. |

Or use a USB extender cable with a port hidden somewhere under the desk... They'd just think it was one more of many cables coming out of the back of their computer. |

Which in most offices, is the case -- they can't even easily get at the back ports on their computers without crawling around on the floor. |
